What practical steps are Quakers taking to tackle climate change?
The responses to the request for guidance on making a corporate statement ahead of December’s Copenhagen Summit (12 June) revealed a host of measures being undertaken by individual Quakers and Meetings across Britain, ranging from personal commitments to not fly and to holiday closer to home to jointly altering and redesigning Meeting houses to be more eco-friendly
Meanwhile, Friends House is finalising an environmental policy that includes a commitment to a twenty per cent reduction in the building’s carbon footprint over the next four years
