One of our Quaker committees met recently It had better remain nameless; in truth, it might have been any of many We were planning a number of unmissable events for Yearly Meeting Gathering One item on the agenda was publicity: a thousand flyers to urge people not to miss our unmissable meetings A thousand pieces of paper, each saying what will already be said in the YMG programme Why do we need them all? I asked Well, came the answer, it’s because everyone else will be advertising their events with flyers Unless we do the same, we won’t be noticed
