Climate camp upset - preview
I was at the Camp for Climate Action in London on Wednesday 1 April The camp is run very much along Quakerly lines, using consensus decision making and campaigning for action on climate change It was a real festival atmosphere, with dancing, singing, workshops, compost toilets, meetings and lots of pop-up tents, all to tell the G20 that ‘Nature doesn’t do bailouts’ and that to hand over the regulation of carbon emissions to the same people who caused this economic collapse would be naïve and foolish: a resolute ‘No’ to carbon trading
