A personal view of G20 - preview
Now that the G20 has finished its work in London, how do those of us who were at the ‘Jobs, Justice and Climate’ rally at the beginning of the week view it?
Having heard the news headlines before I read the communiqué produced by this diverse gathering of countries, I expected it to be all about the same things as the headlines These focused on the size of the stimulus package and financial regulation I was therefore surprised at the breadth of the communiqué For example, I had not expected anything on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs – development commitments made at the UN in 2000) or climate change
