Roadshows seek views on development priorities
Quakers have been urged to participate in a government consultation on how the UK delivers development aid
The consultation, by the Department for International Development (DfID), includes a series of government roadshows around the country where members of the public can put their views across about development priorities The responses will be fed into a white paper due to be published in July, the precursor to new legislation
‘DfID is a world leader in development’, said Alison Prout of Quaker Peace & Social Witness ‘We should be rightly proud of the department, but we should take these opportunities to ensure they have best practice in all their activities’
