  • It is one of the damning indictments on our society, our country and our lives that for all the work we are called to do and achieve, that there is so much injustice in the world
  • And, for all that we have achieved in the world, there is still such inequality and failing on our doorsteps

  • An example is the mostly unseen world of poverty and hunger among those who have come to the UK in search of sanctuary and have been left destitute on our streets
  • According to government statistics there are between 155,000 and 283,500 refused asylum seekers here
