Irish Quakers ask: why violence? - preview
A small group of Quakers are calling on citizens, groups and communities across the island of Ireland to work against violence
Working under the banner of ‘Why Violence? The campaign for violence reduction’, the group hopes to encourage a multitude of local events that will together form a ‘festival of nonviolence’ and help people consider the impact of violence on their lives Events are scheduled to take place between 21 September, UN day of peace, and 2 October, UN day of nonviolence and Gandhi’s birthday
