Quakers develop peace links - preview
Quaker-funded peaceworkers are creating links between different organisations working for peace
The linked work of two of this year’s Quaker Peace & Social Witness (QPSW) peaceworkers in the UK have helped their organisations develop connections, while a new project in Burundi has seen British and American Quaker service agencies work together
Saint Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace, which focuses on the relationship between faith and conflict, and Peace Child International, which helps empower young people, both have a one-year QPSW peaceworker working for them In January the two peaceworkers, Sarah Hulme and Candia Crosfield, came together to run a ‘creative meeting’ with people involved in faith and the arts and will reunite at the end of the month at the QPSW spring conference where they will host a workshop exploring issues around their placements
