A Quaker representative in Northern Ireland has said that a new report on the legacy of the Troubles presents an opportunity for the province to move forward
Many of the proposals contained in the report of the Consultative Group on the Past, known as the Eames-Bradley report after its two co-chairs, were overshadowed by anger about its proposal to give payments to relatives of those who died But this anger shows, says Olive Hobson of Quaker House Belfast, how important it is to reach a ‘human accommodation’ to go alongside the political accommodation that already exists
