Bible Society insert
I have no objection to the Bible Society insert in the Friend – we have the Bible in Meeting and use it also from time to time
  • George Fox gained his insights from reading the Bible in English!

    Nowadays missionaries are usually trained as teachers or doctors as well as preachers
  • One of Gandhi’s great friends was reverend Charles F Andrews who wrote The Christ of the Indian Road, the leaders of new Africa were largely educated by missionaries – frequently Methodist – and Kenya’s first president Jomo Kenyatta studied at Woodbrooke
