New Quakers welcomed at Gathering in India
Quakers meeting in Bhopal have focused on climate change and welcomed new Yearly Meetings to their ranks


  • The triennial Gathering of Asia-West Pacific Section (AWPS) of Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC) recognised well over 3,000 Indian and Filipino Friends during the week-long event in early November


  • Over a hundred Quakers had converged from all parts of the world for the Gathering, which contained a mix of Section business and reports from all the Yearly Meetings, together with panels on subjects such as interfaith issues in India and the environment
