Christian statement: the search for unity
I hope everybody has read Jane Fitzgerald’s article (26 September) very carefully It is clear and to the point Ministry in Quaker worship can come too easily when, in fact, moving through meditation into contemplation is something that takes time Quakers are also very reluctant to discuss the depths of their form of worship and this may well leave new attenders simply enjoying the silence and occasional contributions
A Quaker must always be a Seeker and one shouldn’t have to work through other faith traditions in order to understand the Quaker Way Within the Quaker Way one can soon come to the realisation that spirituality is the basis for the unity of the whole of humankind, not just the faiths, let alone just Christianity
