David Penn, the Britain Yearly Meeting representative, reports on a small but vibrant gathering
Yearly Meetings can serve many purposes They are a time for worship, a time to renew friendships, a time to plan and a time to reflect and remember This year’s gathering of Finnish Friends was all these things, but most of all it was an opportunity in the gentle and peaceful setting of Frantsila herb farm, for Finnish Friends to nurture themselves Finland Yearly Meeting is growing and there were many new faces and many new issues to face We were greatly helped and supported by our facilitators, Diana and John Lampen of Stourbridge Meeting, who led sessions on living the Quaker testimonies, practising Quaker discernment and deepening our worship together, beginning with some light-hearted group building
