Telemedicine in Nepal
A young Nepalese student has developed an innovative way of bringing healthcare to remote villages in his country, thanks to a family of British Quakers
Tshering Lama, twenty-five, is piloting a system of telemedicine, which he describes as 'treatment and diagnosis at a distance', similar to the UK's NHS Direct Tessa Cullen, a Quaker from Oxfordshire, and her family paid for Tshering to attend university in Newcastle-upon-Tyne because they saw his enormous potential
