The Committee for New Quaker Clichés - preview

Chuck Fager has been visiting Quakers abroad, including our Yearly Meeting. Here are some light musings on his return home

Friends, I'm writing to announce formation of an innovative project for our Religious Society, namely The Committee for New Quaker Cliches, or CNQC


  • The need for this body hit me like a thunderbolt while attending a large Yearly Meeting this spring
  • There I was, sitting and trying to pay attention, but feeling ever more uneasy, and not sure why
  • Then, finally, when all my hopes in all persons were gone, so that I had nothing outwardly to help me, nor could I tell what to do, then, oh, then, I heard a voice which said,
