Chief executive officer
A word of reassurance for Tony and Pam Manasseh (28 March)
  • The change in title from recording clerk to recording clerk and chief executive officer is no more than that
  • The job description (which already included the words 'chief executive officer') is unchanged
  • The recording clerk remains a servant of the Yearly Meeting in all aspects of her wide-ranging role
  • There is no impact on structures or relationships
  • The change simply helps to identify the role when representing Quakers to non-Quakers
  • The recording clerk is the most senior of the staff employed on behalf of the Yearly Meeting
