Cotteridge Quakers lead green Meeting initiative
Cotteridge Quakers have become the first religious group in the UK to sign up to the Every Action Counts Climate Change declaration
At their October Business Meeting, Friends committed themselves to 'a sustained, comprehensive and accountable response to the challenge of climate change' They join over 120 community organisations and councils that have already signed the declaration
Mark Walton, programme head at Every Action Counts, applauded the move, saying: 'We are delighted to welcome the Cotteridge Quaker Meeting in Birmingham to the growing community of third sector organisations who are committed to action on climate change'
