The matter of God
The replies (5 October) to my letter (28 September) were, of course, well-reasoned and Quakerly
  • I realise that the 'God' Friends recognise represents the 'myriad ways in which we variously describe and experience those workings of the spirit…' But what I was talking about was possible misunderstanding arising from such a loose usage on any vaguely interested member of the non-Quaker community who might come across that otherwise excellent edition of the Friend
  • Hence the thought that we should use 'God' with caution
