What happened so far in National Quaker Week

  • National Quaker Week may still be ongoing, but there are plenty of events that have already taken place

  • Ahead of the week, Quakers in Maidstone invited local MP Ann Widdecombe to join a debate about prisons as part of their outreach activities
  • The discussion, which also included explanations of criminal justice programmes with Quaker links, was followed by a shared meal and Meeting for Worship

  • The Institute of Higher Education in Wrexham held two Meetings for Worship as part of their Freshers Week 'Faithspace'
  • Paul Jeorrett, a Quaker working at the Institute, was also asked about Quakers on account of the bright red Quaker t-shirt he was wearing
