Whatever happens, it's not over
Friends have worked hard, especially over the last twelve months, to persuade the government to embrace a non-nuclear security policy
  • In the seven years since I started work in Quaker Peace & Social Witness, more Friends have become involved in the Trident campaign than any other on a disarmament issue


  • At the time of writing, it remains possible that MPs will vote to delay the decision to renew Trident
  • Otherwise, the government is expected to win the vote and begin work designing new submarines
