'A real challenge' – Talking Friends AGM
'This year has been a real challenge to all involved in Talking Friends We hope our subscribers have not picked up on our anxiety about the future of the service we provide We have moved forward in faith that a solution will be found – but rather like the duckling who glides smoothly on the surface, we have paddled furiously under it at times'
So began the annual report given by Val Rowling, chairperson of the Talking Friends, at our AGM on 28 April It was significant that there were only five faces round the table – the faithful few who have been struggling to hold the service together However there is a light at the end of the tunnel
