Cuban artist exhibits at Friends House - preview
The US abstract expressionist artist Mark Rothko famously refused to let his Seagram murals hang in the exclusive New York restaurant which had commissioned them, because he decided that hungry diners were unlikely to appreciate high art
  • Happily the Cuban abstract painter Juan T Vazquez Martin has shown no such squeamishness
  • A small but mouth-watering exhibition of his paintings is on show in the restaurant at Friends House, London, until 23 December with a preview on 13 December from 3-4
