The Dalai Lama and Dorje Shugden
In 1981 my husband and I were received by the Dalai Lama in his residence in Dharamsala
  • It was an unforgettable occasion because of his kindliness and infectious happiness
  • I have read and listened to him many times since, so was taken aback to read Andrew Wallace's comment (17 June)
  • The Dalai Lama seemed to be responsible for some cruelties which I could not connect with the person I had met, so I asked the Tibet Society whose patron is the Dalai Lama for their understanding of what had happened
  • Here is what they told me

  • Anne Bancroft & Alison Leonard
