TS Eliot and the Christian perspective - preview

Bob Miller visited Little Gidding in Cambridgeshire and discovered the place and the poetry of TS Eliot

Growing up in a Traveller family never brought me close to poetry but it did to music
  • At grammar school the exposure to both was limited and when I joined the police both were non-existent

  • It was not until 1990 that I started to study with the Open University and was attending Friends Meetings as an attender at both Great Dunmow and Saffron Walden
  • I became increasingly interested in all things musical, spiritual and literary

  • These became passions and as time went on changed my outlook on life, considerably
  • Immediately I retired from the police, I stood in local elections as a Labour candidate, studied religions in multi-faith Britain assiduously and became a schools inspector
  • My expertise is the education of Traveller children throughout schools in England
