Circles UK receives funding
Circles UK, the new umbrella body supporting local Circles of Support and Accountability, has now secured funding until April 2008 and appointed a chief executive to take its work forward
The Ministry of Justice has given £160,000 to Circles UK, which will enable it to assist and accredit local groups working with released sex offenders to help prevent them reoffending As a national body, Circles UK will be responsible for developing high quality standards that all local Circles will need to maintain and will advise them on issues such as media relations and funding options
